Put it on an hour before, when we started I literally couldn't even tell. She asked me how I'd rate the pain and I thought she wasn't even doing anything yet. Slept through half of the session and walked out with a finished tattoo that day. 🙂 I ordered three tubes and shipping was also great. The numbing lasted 2 1/2 hours for me.
